"The Global Executive MBA program has definitely enhanced my knowledge and made me a more analytical, critical thinker," John Tovar says. "And I think it's helping make me a better regional Vice President. It's helping me deliver results. I give the program a 10."
When John Tovar learned that his career at The Home Depot would move him from Los Angeles to Atlanta in 2005, the first cognitive association he made with his future home was Georgia Tech.
"The school is well known from coast to coast and around the world," says the California native, who graduated from the Global Executive MBA student in December 2008. "The main reason I chose Tech for my MBA was because of its trusted brand name."
Currently the youngest officer at The Home Depot, Tovar is now living in Houston, Texas. But GEMBA's format allowed him to continue his studies through intermittent travel until his December 2008 graduation. Classes meet every other weekend on Friday evening and all-day Saturday.
